One more highly effective and productive programme was launched by the Principal and the staff members of Govt.Degree College,Kalyandurg. We, as the academicians know that "our students do not care how much we know until they come to know how much we care for them". We also believe that 'If the mountain does not come to Mohammad, Mohammad should go to the mountain. It is a reach out programme to the students. As a maiden attempt, we visited the house of Mohammad Umar near Kanekal cross. We are amazed to see the entrepreneur abilities of this young student. He is maintaining flower garden and kitchen garden in his premises. He has planted some medicinal herbs also. We have also observed that he is rearing the fowl. In nut shell, his garden is the miniature copy of integrated farming. We also interacted with his parents and got sufficient inputs regarding the daily schedule of Umar. The grievances of his parents are noted down and we are exploring the possibilities of addressing them at college level.
