Details of academic audit at Govt.Degree College Kalyandurg 

Date: 27th August 2022

Academic advisors by name Dr.K.Mallikarjuna, Lecturer in Govt. Degree College (W) Anantapur and Dr.B.Gopal Naik, Lecturer in Political Science, GDC, Dharmavaram visited GDC Kalyandurg for the purpose of academic audit. After performing prayers at Saraswathi mandir, all the faculty members are advised to assemble at e class room for centralized presentation. Before that the advisors visited the indoor stadium and gymnasium. They expressed their satisfaction regarding the ambience in the college. The passage is given a facelift and the walls are painted with the portraits of patriots. Later in e class room centralized presentation was given by IQAC coordinators after the keynote address by the Principal. This presentation included nearly 102 slides which portrayed the spectrum of activities that took place during 2020-21. The achievements of each department were given due weightage in the presentation and the advisors openly appreciated the team work of the staff members. Later college website was browsed by the advisors. Route map was given to advisors for individual visit to the departments for quantification of metrics and key indicators. Visit to the departments was planned after lunch.

Dr.B.Gopal Naik visited the following departments 

- Rural development

Observations made by the advisors regarding the individual departments are documented below. 

- Every department has furnished all the records prescribed by the NAAC 

- Student seminars and projects are well planned 

- Department of chemistry has documented the synthesis of Azo dye and the drug acetanilide and that department deserves special appreciation for the same 

- Faculty members of Zoology have participated in the extension activities extensively and they have contributed a lot to the content development and LMS portal of CCE. 

- Botany department is far ahead in taking up student friendly activities and the Botany faculty members generosity was made evident by their student support activities. Botany faculty members have donated chairs to the department. They distributed the study material to all the students free of cost. 

- Department of Physics has left an indelible impression on the minds of students by designing innovative methods in teaching physics 

- Department of Computer science has organized online parent meet. They encouraged the students to earn and learn simultaneously. 

- Rural development stands unique in its documentation of events. All the records are kept in spik and span manner. In this district Rural development course is offered only in two Government colleges and this Kalyandurg college is one among them. 

- Department of Political Science was highlighted by many student centric activities like clean India, FIT India, Youth parliament activities. 

- department of Economics has gone a long way in designing student friendly methods of teaching. 

- English language lab attracted the special attention of the academic advisors. The faculty members of English organized the events on the Birth anniversaries of famous English poets. They designed many student centric activities like skits, role plays, JAM, peer learning etc. 

- Telugu department was appreciated for their efforts to spread the cultural awareness among the students. They organized many events related to Telugu literature. 

- History department often conducts student quiz to create competitive spirit among the students 

- NSS Unit headed by Dr.P.L.Kantha Rao did magnanimous work and they adapted a village by name Mallapuram. They created awareness regarding the social evils like child marriages and open defecation. 

- Library is very spacious and accessible to students. Librarian is proactive and he organized library week. 

- Indoor stadium and the gymnasium are the additional attractions to the campus

After analyzing all the metrics and key indicators, academic advisors announced Grade A to the college in the EXIT MEET
